H. P. Freeman Mourned

Funeral services for Hosea Pink Freeman, 71, will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in Catchings Chapel.

Mr. Freeman, a farmer, died Monday at his residence of Rt. 4, Summit, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 2, 1904, he was a native of Amite County.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Freeman, Summit; two sons, Homer T. and Wallace Nelson Freeman, both of Summit; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Forley, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Kathleen Chunn, McComb, Mrs. Louise Sistrunk, Mrs. Nell Cox, both of Summit; one brother Alkus [sic Alcus] Freeman, Summit; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Wallace, Miss Dixie Freeman, Miss Ocie Freeman, all of Summit, Mrs. Ethel Britt, Brookhaven; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Rev. John Carlisle will officiate. Burial will be in Johnston Chapel Cemetery with Catchings Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
