Final Rites Held For Houston Bullock
Rev. Houston Robert Bullock, 59, who was born in Covington County but had resided most of his life in Stone County passed away at his home Sunday night, Oct. 24 in Gulfport. At the time of his death he was pastor of the Victory Baptist Church in Gulfport.
Rev. Bullock organized the Gulfport church and also did pastoral work at the Tenn. Baptist Church in East Gulfport. He had previously served churches in Stone County.
Mr. Bullock is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Webb Bullock, one son, Edgar L. Bullock and one daughter, Mrs. J. K. Simmons of Baton Rouge, two grandchildren and one brother, Van Bullock of Wiggins.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John B. Ladner of Gulfport at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon from the Dees Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers were: Harlan Walker, Charles Beaver, Paul Ogasbee, Frank Jackson, James Finnan and Warren Watts.
Music was conducted by Hollie T. Bond and Miss Mae O'Neal. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
