NATCHEZ -- Services for Howard Lee Crum, 52, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, will be 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Mr. Crum was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Henry Lloyd Crum Jr. and Jerry Floyd Justice Crum. He was a member of Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church since 1975. He was a devoted and loyal father, son, brother, friend and neighbor. He worked many years as a mechanic and an electrician.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Elizabeth Crum; his parents; two infant sisters, and a sister, Jerry Lea Crum; uncles, Charles N. Crum, Danny Crum, and Howard Justice; aunt, ``Ruby'' Lorraine Dean; cousin, Luther Howard Justice; maternal grandparents; Lou Elsie and Luther Delmar Justice Sr.; paternal grandparents, Lucy Zimmerman and Henry L. Crum Sr. and wife, Mildred. Survivors include his sister, Jo Ann Crum Cupit and husband, David, of Natchez/Vidalia; niece, Marci Elizabeth Hinson of Natchez/Vidalia; nephew, Ricky ``Walter'' Hinson Jr. of Natchez; aunts and families, Bobbie Justice Crum of Vardaman, Vivian ``Cupie'' Bell of Mossyhead, Fla., Ann Fair of Monterey, Betty Fletcher of Hattiesburg, Jean Moffett of Natchez, Barbara Gayle of Covington, Ruthie Olds of Morristown, Tenn.; uncles and families, James Crum of Ferriday, Vernon Crum of Ridgecrest, Kenneth Crum of Ferriday, Tommy Crum of Vidalia, Jerry Dale Crum of Hattiesburg, Thad Justice of Eupora, and Doug Justice of Nicholls, Ga.; a special friend of the family, Pearl Henderson; and a number of loyal friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be cousins and friends, Mike Crum, Mark Crum, David Crum, Paul Crum, David Ford, Walter Ford, Robert Young and Tommy Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Crum, Ricky Hinson and George Atwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
