Hoyt Kimbro “Pop-a-top”
Hoyt Kimbro “Pop-a-top”, 79, of Center, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Carthage.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.
Hoyt was born May 4, 1935 in Waterman to Sebern Kimbro and Avis Renfro Kimbro. He served in the United States Army. Hoyt enjoyed fox hunting and dancing. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He loved to entertain others and see a smile when he was done. Hoyt was also known as “Pop-a-top” and made many friends up and down the road over the C.B. Radio. He was always willing to help anyone he could help. Hoyt was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
