H. M. LARSON
H. M. (Tex) Larson, 48, oil man of Norphlet, died Saturday in an El Dorado hospital after a short illness. He suffered a heart attack Thursday at Walnut Ridge, where he was drilling an oil well.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the First Methodist church at Norphlet. The Rev. A. E. Jacob, pastor, and the Rev. M. E. Scott, of Fairview, will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington cemetery at El Dorado.
Larson was head of the pipeline department of MacMillan Petroleum corporation at Norphlet for 24 years. For several months he had been in business with his brother, C. R. Larson of Dupo, Ill.
A native of Shelbyville, Texas, Larson moved to Norphlet in 1923. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Eva Elliott Larson; two daughters, Mrs. T. H. Streeter of Conway, Ark., and Miss Betty Jo Larson of Hot Springs, Ark.; his father, A. L. Larson of Collinsville, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Hud Toy of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, C. R. Larson of Dupo, W. L. Larson, Norphlet, and J. W. Larson, Daingerfield, Texas; and one granddaughter, Tommie Jean Streeter, Conway.
