Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Hulene entered this world on Sept. 11, 1921. She liked her unique name and was always surprised at the number of ways people pronounced it. She grew up in a small East Texas town called Gilmer. She was smart, talented and played in the band.
When times got hard she moved to Fort Worth and went to work for Convair (now Lockheed). This is where she met the love of her life, William ``Bill'' R. Womack. They were married Oct. 16, 1943, and for 65 1/2 years they shared love, devotion and loyalty. Bill always called her ``my bride-love of my life.''
She joined many organizations in her lifetime like Easter Star, Everman Chapter 624, and was a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church. She was also voted ``Business Woman of the Year.'' Hulene and Bill were members of the Campers Club and traveled all across the U.S. enjoying all the wonderful sites this country has to offer.
For the last 20 years she was also known as the ``Silver Fox'' because of her beautiful white hair. Her smile and laughter were joys to all who crossed her path.
She has gone to be with her loved ones who have gone before her. She will be sorely missed.
Survivors: Husband, Bill Womack; daughters, Robbie Adkinson and Linda Perez, both of Fort Worth; sister, Peggy Rawlins of Gilmer; grandchildren, Eddie Dent, Theresa Elkins, Vickie Willowby, Paul Granado, Lori Gonzalez, Cary Adkinson and Keith Adkinson; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
