Ida Coldiron Brown
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Coldiron Brown will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Ward and Rev. Emmett Belgard officiating. Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
The family asks that visitation be observed Saturday, March 22, from 11 am until time of service at the church.
Mrs. Brown, 83, of Jonesville was born on September 16, 1930 in Jonesville and passed from this life on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her residence in Jonesville.
She was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Lamar Coldiron of Arcadia;
daughters, Gail Laird of Big Springs, TX and Linda Nell Coleman of Jonesville; sister, Kathleen McCarthy of Jonesville; brother, Ernest Ford of Ferriday; 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; special cousin, Mavis Brown of Jonesville and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roosevelt Theodore and Lizzeta Smith Ford, husbands, Bradley Coldiron and Elbern Brown and sons, Milton, Danny and Tommy Coldiron.
Pallbearers will be Brad Coldiron, Kevin Coldiron, Allen Coldiron, Carlos Coleman, Russell DeLaney and Paul Wright.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jetti McCarthy.
