Funeral services for Ida Mable Harper were held 2:00 PM Monday at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. Tom Waxham, Bro. John Kindrix, and Bro. Micky Hudnell officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, LA.
Ida Mable Harper was born on December 14, 1921 in Forest, LA and passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 in Monroe, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Josiah Harper; daughter, Leva Christine Harper; son, Joe Calvin Harper, Sr.; son, Mack Johnathon Harper; and her parents, Henry McWright and Leva Anna Fox. She was the last remaining child of their 15 children.
Survivors include her children, Charles Ray Harper of Greenwood, LA; Carolyn Waxham and husband, Tom of Shreveport, LA.; Osler "Blue" Harper and wife, Imogene of Greenwood, LA; Margie Mae Cutright and husband, Clyde of DeVille, LA; Dinna Sandra Kay Holtom and husband, Robert of Gary, TX; Voncile Kindrix and husband, John of Coal Hill, AR; Clifton Arnold Harper of Oak Grove, LA; Peggie Dian Murdoch and husband, Cary of Leesburg, TX; Carnelia Ann "Annie" Fleming and husband, David of Eros, LA; Meckle June Lingfelt and husband, Jerry Edenburg, TX; Becky Lynn Black and husband, Gene of Darnell, LA; Millie Hill and husband, Chester of West Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Fox of West Monroe, LA; thirty-five grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her Grandsons.
