Ida Monteen Townsend

Ida Monteen Townsend, 72, of Ellisville, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Ellisville City Cemetery. The Rev. Eudell Hill will officiate. She was manager and house parent of a group home with Ellisville State School and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cecil Townsend, and father, Issac Walter Brady Sr.

She is survived by five sons, Danny Mack Smith of Easyville, La., David W. Smith of Stringer, Kenneth Dale Caves of Bay Springs, Norman D. Smith of Ellisville and Tommy Joe Renfro of Canton; mother, Ruby Lee Sullivan Brady of Louin; a brother, Issac Walter Brady Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Christeen Brady Toler of Bay Springs; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Masons of Strengthford Lodge.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel which is in charge of arrangements.
