Ida Pearl Thomas

Funeral services for Ida Pearl Thomas, 86, Davis, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday (today), at First Christian Church with Brother Dennis Long officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 15, 1906 at Mountain Home, Arkansas and died December 7 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. Her parents were Wilbur and Cora Shipley Wilson. She had lived in Davis since 1947. She taught school for 44 years, 27 years in Davis Public School. She retired in 1971. She taught Sunday School and served as Sunday School Superintendent. She was also a member of Tuesday Study Club.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Harris, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, two brothers, Troy Wilson and Raymond Wilson, both of Davis, two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Thomas in 1947.
