Idell Reeves Cook

Services for Mrs. Idell Reeves Cook, age 85 of Columbia were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2006 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. James Prince and Rev. Bruce McGee officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery, west of Columbia.

Mrs. Cook was born in Clarks on February 26, 1921 to the union of Don and Lola Reeves and died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.

She was a retired pharmacy clerk. She was a member of the Columbia Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her children: Sammy Cook and his wife: ReNeau of West Monroe, Michael Cook of Columbia, Jackie Stamper and her husband: Doug of Columbia, Pam Ray of Columbia and Debra Branch and her husband: Steven of Lafayette, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and her sister: Berniedean Gore of Monroe.

Pallbearers were deacons of Columbia Heights Baptist Church: Waymon Calhoun, Dusty Steele, Gaylon Head, Art Nelson, Ed Parmer, Billy Wallace and Troy Fore.
