Ila Lea Gann, 80, passed away on April 30, 2009.
Ila was a kind and generous person. She was genuine in her affections toward family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she is and always will be sorely missed.
She worked for the Port of for 25 years as an executive secretary. She loved her job.
One of Ila's favorite pastimes was to read. She loved mysteries and had a considerable collection of books from many different authors.
She was very personable and had impeccable people skills. She could converse with anyone about many different subjects. Ila was an avid dog lover and one could say that she treated all her dogs as if they were her children.
Ila is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Douglas Gann, grandson, William Shane Clark, her brother, Lucky Farmar, and her sister, Vivian Farmar.
Ila is survived by her sister, Sally Tryler of Arkansas; her daughter, Elaine (Ken) Spitzer of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, Kenneth Lea Clark of Flour Bluff, Texas; her grandchildren: Kimberley Dawn (Greg) Cawyer of Orange Grove, Texas, Sherman Lea Clark of New Caney, Texas, Wayne Douglas Clark of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Heather Sue (Nathan) Marlatt of San Antonio, Texas, her great grandchildren: Miles Evan Clark of Conroe, Texas, Caleb Lee Cawyer, Trace Austin Cawyer, both of Orange Grove, Texas, Isaac Daniel Marlatt and Gracie Sue Marlatt both of San Antonio, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial will be at 6405 Beechwood Dr. Corpus Christi, Texas on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Del Mar College Scholarship Fund.
