Ina Jane Brown
Ina Jane Brown, 91, of Gloster, died Feb. 11, 2006, at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville.
Visitation continued at 10 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, until services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Brooks officiated. Burial was in Talbert Cemetery in Gloster.
Mrs. Brown was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Amite County to Jonathan Martin Day and Fanny Victoria Day.
She was retired from Field Memorial Community Hospital where she worked in the business office. She also enjoyed cattle farming throughout her adult life, as did her husband. She was affiliated with New Hope Methodist-Protestant Church in Gloster.
Her family said she was loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Mark Brown; three sisters, Ruth Day Binning, Winnie Davis Whittington and Helen Temple; an infant brother and a sister.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, James Clyde Day and Mildred, and William Herman Day and Fairy, all of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael James, Preston Jones, Jeffery Binning, Joe Day, Bobby Aaron and Pete Johnson.
