Services for Mrs. Ineta Richey Duncan will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with the Revs. George McVay and Ed Dilworth officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Duncan, 81, of Pineville died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Rapides Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church, Pineville, active in the Ward 10 Baseball Program, and an avid gardener. She was a compassionate loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a dear friend to all who knew her. Her hard-fought courageous battle of suffering is over, but her example of living and her precious memories will remain with us always.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Col. George C. Duncan and her sister, Margie Richey Morris.
Survivors include two sons, Rocky D. Duncan of Houston, Texas and Jeffery C. Duncan of Ball; two daughters, Brenda Duncan Cockrell of Tioga and Sally Duncan Perkins of Houston; sisters, Audrey Richey Brazell of Pineville and Una Faye Richey Higgins of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy F. Cockrell, G. Shelton Perkins, Wesley C. Duncan, Chris Cockrell, Jerome Walker, Scott Cockrell, Malcolm Brazell, and Travis Brazell.
Friends may call today at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
