Inez W. McClanahan

Funeral services for Mrs. Inez W. McClanahan, age 89, of Hebert, were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at the Bethany Baptist Church at Hebert with the Rev.'s: Edward Smith, Don Wright, and Billy Carter officiating. Interment followed in the church under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Mrs. McClanahan, a retired Nurses Aid, died Sunday Jan. 23, at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia, following a brief illness.

Martha Inez Whittington McClanahan was born on Feb. 15, 1905 to the union of Louis and Minnie McKeithen Whittington, in Clarks, LA. She had worked as a Nurses Aide for some 25 years, at the Columbia Heights Nursing Center. She was a life-long resident of Caldwell Parish, and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Archie McClanahan, of Hebert; 2 sons: Mike McClanahan, of Columbia, and Henry Wilson, of Mobile, Alabama. 4 Daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Moore, Grayson; Mrs. Elaine Vestal, West Monroe; Charlotte West, Alexandria, and Eleanor Tillman, Monroe. 1 Brother, Mr. Ira Whittington, Monroe. 1 Sister: Mrs. Beulah Blackwell, Hebert, LA. 22 Grandchildren. 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Tim Tyler, Berlon McClanahan, Issac McClanahan, Dan McClanahan, Charles McClanahan, and Junior Blackwell.
