Inga Sophie Aarvold Cook
Inga Sophie Aarvold Cook died peacefully early Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, 2011, during her 80th year.
Service: 3 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in Mrs. Cook's memory, is suggested.
A native of Gothenberg, Sweden, Sophie was born March 25, 1930, the daughter of Reinhard and Nancy Njaastad Aarvold. In 1973, Sophie married Maynard B. Cook, D.D.S., in San Diego. The couple resided in Mexico City, where Dr. Cook was teaching specialty orthodontics. Before moving to Mexico, she worked for the American consulate's office. Sophie and Dr. Cook moved to Fort Worth in 1987. She was a member of Pan-American Table No. 2 and a lifelong Lutheran.
Survivors: In addition to her husband of 37 years, Sophie is survived by her son, Douglas Guinn and his wife, Marisol.
