IRIS HOLCOMB WHITTINGTON
A homemaker and resident of Woodville, Miss., she died at 4:54 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1997 at her daughter's residence in Woodville. She was 90 and a native of Sumrall, Miss.
Visiting at the residence of the daughter, June McGraw, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Religious services at Woodville Baptist Church, Woodville, at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by Dr. Daniel R. Howard. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville.
Survived by two daughters, Opal W. Hartman, Covina, Calif., and June Whittington McGraw, Woodville; a sister, Olivia H. Warren, Bogalusa; a brother, Hascol Holcomb, Haines City, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Charlie Holcomb and Letitia Baxter Holcomb; husband, Clarence H. Whittington; a son, Charles Wade Whittington; and a grandson, Sidney Brandon McGraw Jr.
