Corley Burial To Be Today in Ruby
Isham Thomas Corley Sr., 75, a resident of Port Arthur for 21 years, died Saturday at 11:15 a.m. in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herbert Smith, 1025 13th avenue, following a week of illness.
A native of Grant parish, La., Mr. Corley was a retired employe of the Gulf refinery. He was a member of the Fourth Avenue Baptist church.
Rites Held Saturday Night
Funeral services were held here Saturday at 8 p.m. in Grammier's chapel. The Rev. M. E. Williamson, pastor of the Fourth Avenue church and the Rev. Oscar Perkins of the Memorial Baptist church officiated.
Following the service the body was taken to the Hixson Funeral home in Alexandria, La. who will conduct additional services today at 3 p.m. in Pine Grove Baptist church in Ruby, La. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery.
Survivors Named
Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Francis Amy of Crowley, La., Mrs. T. I. Barron of Alexandria, Mrs. J. P. Darby, Mrs. M. N. Dell and Mrs. W. P. Lee, all of Bridge City, Mrs. Carmen Matthews and Mrs. Herbert Smith, both of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Glen Mullenix of Groves; three sons, C. M., E. T. and I. T. Corley, all of Port Arthur; two brothers, A. V. Corley of Port Arthur and R. A. Corley of Pineville, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Loftin and Mrs. Ada Hale, both of Pineville; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
