LAST RITES HELD MONDAY FOR ISOM McDANIEL

Funeral for Isom McDaniel, 76, was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday in the Phillips-Easley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert T. Milner and J. U. Bristo officiating. Mr McDaniel had been a resident of Comanche the past 60 years.

Born November 1, 1885 at Carbon, Texas, he died at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28 p.m., at an Oklahoma City Hospital.

At an early age he moved with his parents, the E.V. McDaniels from Carbon, Texas to Indian Territory and settled in Comanche area where he attended school and grew to manhood. For a number of years he was employed on the railroad. In 1930 he began farming and continued until he retired and moved into Comanche in 1950.

Surviving are one son, William I. of Houston, Texas and one brother, Henry McDaniel of Claremore, and three sisters, Lula Thurman of Cicero, Texas,; Martha Jane Walker, Muskogee; and Ada Hunton, Santa Fe, N..M. Also two nephews, Isom L McDaniel and Bill McDaniel of Comanche and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were: George Moser, P.J. Dyer, Roy Gilger, Tobe Welch, Edward Roach and Ralph Willis.

Interment was in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Phillips-Elsey Funeral Home.
