Iva Lorene Parker
Iva L. Burns Parker 83, of Lisbon, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006 in the home. She was born October 21, 1922 in Emerson, Arkansas to the late Andrew Walker and Ola Leona (Nelson) Burns. She was a homemaker, an employee of Edmont Wilson Glove Factory in Haynesville, Louisiana, and a member of Lisbon United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John M. Parker, one sister, Lera Burns, two brothers, Horace Ray Burns and Ritchie Burns, and a grandson, Kenneth Wayne Triplet.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Triplet and husband Edwin of Emerson, Arkansas, Brenda Garrison of Waskom, Texas; five step-sons, Ned Parker of Minneapolis, Minnesota,
Buddie Parker of Houston, Texas, Terry ``Pete'' Parker of Benton, Arkansas, Mickey Parker of McNeil, Arkansas, and Mike Parker of Winchester, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Lance A. Huhn and wife Delia, Sharlene Novosad and husband Allen, Shannon Warbington and husband David, Kevin Triplet and wife Carol, and Debra Eley and husband David; nine step-grandchildren, Vivian, John Michael, William, Theresa, Matthew, Jeff, David, Jason, and Austin; seven great grandchildren, and a host of step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Sims of Lafayette, Louisiana, Leona Rogers of Magnolia, Arkansas; and one brother, Prentice Burns of Magnolia, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 2:00pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Emerson Presbyterian Cemetery under direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, Sept.4 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.
