Ivan Snell
Graveside services for Mr. Ivan E. Snell, 92, of Hornbeck were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck.
Services were under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Snell died Wednesday, Jan. 14, in the Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville.
He was a native of lifelong resident of the Hornbeck-Vernon Parish area, a retired carpenter and a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Slaughter Snell, one daughter, Louise Davis; one step-son, Jessie Downs, and one step-daughter, Doris Phillips.
Survivors include his son, Richard E. Snell of Hornbeck; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
