Funeral service for Ivey Blanchard Simon, 69, of Winnsboro, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday Oct. 7, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
Interment was in Ogden Cemetery where Masonic graveside services were held. The Rev. Larry Hoffpaur officiated.
A native of Winnsboro, he was born March 19, 1915. He was a farmer. He died on Oct. 5, 1984, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Theresa N. Simon, Winnsboro; two sons, Vernon Dale Simon, Shreveport and Donnie Earl Simon, Gautier, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. Joy Winans, Denham Springs; his mother, Mrs. Alma E. Simon, Winnsboro; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Katie Warwick, and Mrs. Bonnie Thompson, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Geraldine McGiffin, Flagstaff, Ariz., Doris Guzman, Winnsboro, Mrs. Garland Kemper, Highland, Calif.; one brother, Marion Simon, Shreveport.
Pallbearers were Charles Wood, John W. Powell, Ray Bryan, John Wood, Don Wynn and Barney Cottingham.
