Services for J.B. Rolen will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2004 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with the Rev. Donald Johnson, Stan Broussard and Erwin Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrow Baptist Cemetery in Morrow. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mr. Rolen, age 69, of Morrow passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004 at Bunkie General Hospital.
He was a retired member of the Local 406 Operators Engineers Union, Past Master of Morrow Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the American Legion Post 305 Morrow and a member of the Morrow Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Vidalia Rolen, and a brother, Kindall Wayne Rolen.
Survivors include his wife, Claire Rolen of Morrow; two sons, Frank S. Gentile of Lobdell and Brooks Rolen, Jr.of Morrow; one daughter, Pam Morace of Houghton; one brother, Pete Rolen of Bueche; one sister, Maxa Guthrie of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren; and good friends, Kevin Blood and Jamie Dale Summers.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Friday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
