J.D. “Bud” Whatley

Funeral services for J.D. “Bud” Whatley, 78, were held in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in Peebles Cemetery.

Mr. Whatley died March 9, in Methodist Hospital in Houston.

He was born April 8, 1927 in Winnsboro, the son of John and Opal Allen Whatley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Cotton Whatley and sister, Betty Tindall.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ann Whatley of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Lynnette Whatley of Onalaska; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and David Powell of Livingston; son, Richard Whatley of Livingston; grandsons, Jeremy Whatley, Joshua Powell, Zac Powell and J.D. Whatley; granddaughters, Carrie Lee Whatley, Ashley Lawhon, Kaleigh Powell and Haley Whatley and great-granddaughter, Kelsie Lawhon.
