Doc Thomas

Word was received in Tuttle Tuesday of the death of Doc Thomas in Glenrose, TX, near Ft. Worth, due to a car accident Tuesday. Mr Thomas was a former resident of Tuttle. He had 2 children, Jack Thomas of Oklahoma City & Lois of California. Burial services will be held Friday in the Tuttle cemetery with Sowers funeral home.

J.P. (Dock) Thomas

Graveside services were held in Tuttle cemetery Friday at 2pm for a former Tuttle resident, J.P. (Dock) Thomas, 64, who passed away near Glen Rose, TX, Wednesday morning. He owned & operated a café there.

Funeral services were held in Glen Rose at 10:30am Thursday at the Carter funeral home Chapel. Rev. Harry T. Jones was in charge of the graveside rites and music was furnished by Mrs Frank Wortman, Mrs Horace Potter, Mrs Austin Vandament, Mrs J.W. Ratcliffe Jr, B.R. Rex, & Harold Long, who sang It Is Well With My Soul.

Pallbearers: Harve Cook, Harry McCracken, Charley Powell, Jesse Thomas, Tommy Bobier, Stevie Chenoweth, Lester Pierson, & Athel Williams of OKC.

Survivors: Jack, OKC; daughter, Mrs Lois Ramsey, Torrance, CA; his mother, Mrs. Alice Thomas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ora Alice Newton; Mrs. Juanita Gordon; & Mrs. Beulah Campbell, all of Texas & other relatives in Tuttle.

Interment was in Tuttle cemetery under direction of Sowers Funeral home.
