Funeral services for J.T. Robinson, Jr., 77, of Crowville will be held Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 2 PM in Hill Ridge Baptist Church near Crowville with Rev. Mickey Gallup officiating. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
He was born to Joseph and Evleyn LeFevre Robinson on August 29, 1929 in Tallulah and passed from this life Friday, April 27, 2007 in Richardson Medical Center in Rayville.
Mr. Robinson was a member of Hill Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of the Crowville Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He retired from the State Highway Department. He married Rosie Peppers on May 28, 1950 in Crowville. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting deer, but his favorite outdoor activity was raising his Walker dogs and listening to them as they bayed while running deer and other wildlife. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marie Peppers.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 57 years Rosie Peppers Robinson of Crowville; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Phoebe Robinson of Baskin; daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Dennis Pylant of Crowville; grandchildren Charity Kidrick, Krystal Robinson, Jason Robinson, Justin Orr, Shannon Henderson, Shonnie Case, and Shelley Pylant; great-grandchildren Logan Kidrick, Christian Case, Cassidy Case, Colleen Case, Reagan Henderson, Raina Henderson and Raisa Henderson. He is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law Patsy and Miles Harper McDuffie of Monroe, and Jo Ellen and Jack Wroten of Slidell and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Case, Larry Cassidy, Lynn Cassidy, Todd Cassidy, Adron Henderson, and Colby Peppers.
