Mr. Jack H. Rogers

SPRINGHILL, LA - Services for Mr. Jack H. Rogers, 68, will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 1994 at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Springhill with Rev. James Schoenrock officiating. Burial will be in the Old Minden City Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers, a descendant of the late Jefferson Lee and Cecile Dunn Rogers of Minden, passed away Wednesday February 16 in Springhill after a long illness. He was a resident of Springhill for 28 years, a member of the First Baptist Church and was an office agent for the Kansas City Southern Railroad where he was employed for 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He served in the following campaigns: Guinea, Luzon and the South Philippines.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wade Rogers on June 9, 1956.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Braden Rogers: two sons, Bruce A. Rogers and Jeffrey Lee Rogers and his wife Crystal all of Springhill; two brothers, Joe W. Rogers of Minden and Dennis L. Rogers of Metairie; grandchildren, Brandon Lee and Leah Allene Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Bennie Craton, Lee Umphries, Jim Hall, Harley Thomas, Jerry Lindsey and Gary Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers will be all retired KCS employees.
