Jack Mace
Jack Mace 76, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Services are 10 am Monday in the chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home. Visitation is today from 2-5 pm and Monday after 9 am. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Jack was born March 21, 1931 to the late William David Mace and Georgie Quick Mace in Morton.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. His passion was racing and made a name for himself throughout the South Eastern United States competing.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife of 40 years, Gloria Mace, and three siblings.
Jack is survived by his sons, Butch Mace of Jackson, Steve Mace of Pearl, Don Mace of Houston, TX, Mark Mace and Darrell Mace both of Jackson; two daughters, Jacqulyn Turner of Laurel and Jennifer Asbury of Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
