LITTLE ROCK -- Jack W. Montgomery, 74, of Star City, a retired fire equipment mechanic at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, died Monday at the Veterans Administration Hospital here.
Born April 29, 1915, at Star City, he was a son of the late Joe Roy and Mary Evelyn Walls Montgomery.
He was a member of Rock Springs Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vada Montgomery of Star City; a son, Jerry Montgomery of Star City; a daughter, Jackie Craig of Lumberton, Texas; two brothers, James Montgomery of Seattle and Victor Montgomery of Monticello; three sisters, Nell Harper of Port Arthur, Texas, Elizabeth Terrell of Pine Bluff and Sue Miller of Beaumont, Texas; and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Service of Star City with the Rev. Onas Gray officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery at Star City.
Pallbearers will be Roy Collins, Walter Collins, Adrian Owen, Waylon Conner, Larry Jacks and Don Montgomery.
