Jack P. Husband

Jack P. Husband, 91, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Paducah Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah. Arrangements are by McBee Family Funeral Home of Paducah.

Mr. Husband was born Nov. 4, 1919, in St. Jo, Montague County, to Perrie Calvin and Mollie Gene Husband. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He was discharged as an Aviation Machinest Mate 2nd Class and retired as a salesman for Marsh Electric.

The family and friends would especially like to thank all of the wonderful and special nurses, doctors and friends at the VA Community Living Center for the love and care that they gave Mr. Husband for all of those years. He loved them all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence Husband, Arthur Husband and Nolan Husband; a very good and close friend, Frenchie Gafford, whose wife and also a close friend, Virginia Gafford continued to care for him.

Survivors include a brother, Pete Husband and wife Gayle of Quinlan; two nieces, Sherry Carter and Cindy Bonelli; three nephews, Randy Husband, Gary Husband and Perrie Husband; and a host of cousins and friends.
