Mr. Jack Shaw Dies At Age 95

Mr. Jack Shaw, 95, of West Blocton, died Friday, July 25, 1969. Mr. Shaw, a lifelong resident of Bibb County, was a long time member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, never missing a service when able to attend.

Survivors include a son, Andrew Shaw, West Blocton, seven daughters, Mrs. J. T. Swann and Mrs. Charles McElroy, both of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Artis Whatley, Mrs. Glenn Ingram and Mrs. Robert Russell, all of West Blocton, and Mrs. Travis Ellis and Mrs. Robert Mattox, both of Birmingham; three brothers, Forrest Shaw, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Willie Shaw, West Blocton; Mike Shaw, Dothan; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Graham and Mrs. Linnie Holland, both of West Blocton.

The funeral was held on Sunday, July 27th, at Mt. Carmel with Jack Lee Funeral Home in charge. Rev. J. C. Hayes and Rev. Charles Payne conducted the services. Music by Mr. Shaw's request was ``A Closer Walk With Thee'' sung by Jack Hannah, and ``Face To Face'' and ``I'll Meet You In The Morning,'' sung by Mr. Moriah Group.

Pallbearers were Jack Hannah, Tim Deese, Donnie Deese, Floyd Swann, Philip McElroy and Art Pinkard.

Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
