M. C. Soles

Funeral services for M. C. “Jake” Soles, 56, of 3613 Poplar, who died yesterday, will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Morgan Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Olan Runnels, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens under direction of Ross Langham Mortuary.

A native of Bryan, Soles moved to Corpus Christi in 1914 and was employed as a salesman at Fedway Department Store. He was a member of Morgan Avenue Baptist Church and of Moose Lodge.

Soles was a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife Eddie; a son, Sammy Soles of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Miss Kay and Miss Sharon Soles, both of Corpus Christi, and Mrs. Billie Renkin of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. George McLeroy of Clarkwood and Mrs. L. R. Morgan of Corpus Christi; a brother, Paul Soles of Corpus Christi, and a grandchild.
