JALMER JOHNSON

Funeral services for Jalmer Johnson, 61, 1811 Southern avenue, who died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marie Berry, 2544 Edgar street, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from Wellman's. The Rev. A. J. Hollingsworth, pastor of the Central Christian church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood cemetery.

Surviving the deceased besides the daughter are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Lee Johnson; one son, James Johnson, Shreveport; and one stepson, Leverett Ryan, Shreveport; three brothers, Harmon and Edd Johnson, of Shreveport, and Oscar Johnson, Vicksburg, Miss., and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Smith, New Orleans, La.

Mr. Johnson was a local painter, coming to Shreveport from McComb, Miss. in 1911.

Austin J. Hollingsworth, pastor of the Central Christian church, officiating.

Surviving the deceased are the widow, Mrs. Maggie Lee Johnson; one son, James Johnson of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Berry; three brothers, Harmon and Edd Johnson of Shreveport, and Oscar Johnson of Vicksburg, Miss., and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Smith of New Orleans, La.
