James Albert Sanders

Services for James Albert Sanders will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield, with the Revs. Wallace Ingles and Billy Bustin. Burial will be in Hurricane Grove Cemetery, Sikes under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Friends may visit in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Sanders, 80, of Dodson died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in the Winn Parish Medical Center.

He was a native of Winn Parish, a retired electrician and a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church. He served in the Korean War with the 31st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army as a sergeant.

Survivors include his son, Edis Ray Sanders, and his wife, Mary Nell of Sikes; daughter, Iris Virginia Perry and her husband Joe of Haleiwi, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Eddie Sanders, Scott Sanders, Brad Perry and Matthew Perry; three great-grandchildren, Cody Sanders, Chris Sanders and Cari Sanders; and one great-great-grandchild, Tori Elizabeth Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Sanders, Scott Sanders, Brad Perry, Matthew Perry, Wayne Ingles and Jerry Ingles.
