JAMES ALFRED STRANGE

James Alfred Strange, 79, resident of Pensacola, Fla., died in the naval hospital there on Friday of last week. The funeral was held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Grayson, Monday, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Cas Moss assisted by Rev. G. W. Wall was in charge.

Active pallbearers were H. A. Busch, Grady B. Mills, Louis L. Ford, Randolph Watson, E. B. Rogers, Andrew Stamper. Honorary pallbearers were S. A. Clark, Dyke Stringer, O. L. Mills, Jodie Meredith, W. G. Byrd and Homer Meredith.

Mr. Strange resided in this parish up to a short time ago when he went to Florida to reside with a son, Laney. He is survived by his wife: three sons and two daughters, Joe and Laney Strange both of Pensacola, Fla., and Andrew Strange of Columbia; Mrs. R. E. Tullos of Eudora, Ark., and Miss Mildred Strange of New York.

The funeral was under the direction of the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
