James Boyett

Services for James Allen Boyett, 66, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Quaker Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Monty Hilliard officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

He died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at Highland Medical Center.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1931, in Fort Worth and married Janice London on April 20, 1973, in Greenville. He worked as a route driver for Central Freight for 17 years. He later worked as a people greeter at Wal-Mart Super Center. He was a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and a member of Quaker Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet Denn and Karen Coward, both of San Antonio, and Misti Rieger of Fort Worth; his mother, Jeffie Mae Boyett of Greenville; three brothers, Bill of Greenville, Larry of Atlanta and Chet of Garland; a sister, Ann Richard of Flint, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Rix Funeral Directors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
