RAYVILLE -- Funeral services for James A. Cook, 59, of Rayville will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Brown-Whitaker Funeral Home of Rayville with the Rev. James Sheppard officiating.

Burial will be in Reagan Cemetery at Baskin for Mr. Cook who died Wednesday afternoon in E. A. Conway Hospital at Monroe after a short illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Cook of Long Beach, Calif.; three sons, Arnold Cook of Moss Bluff, Billy Cook and Bobby Cook, both of Long Beach, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Nelwyn Lord of Monroe, Mrs. Sue Matheny of Stone Mountain, Ga., Mrs. Julia LaPlount and Miss Therisa Cook, both of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Pee of Ruston and Mrs. Libby Cramer of Transylvania; and 12 grandchildren.
