McDANIEL, JAMES ARTHUR
Died at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 1977, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 82, a native of Downsville and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a veteran of World War I.
Body to be at Welsh Funeral Home, with visiting after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services at the chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Dr. Douglas McGuire and the Rev. Penn Morgan. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Nyegaard McDaniel, Baton Rouge; one daughter, Cheri McDaniel, Baton Rouge; two sons, James A. McDaniel Jr., Tallulah and A. Eugene McDaniel, Gautier, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Alvie Foster, Calhoun, Mrs. Eula Simpson, Bossier City and Mrs. Mary Johnston, West Monroe; two brothers, Cleve McDaniel, Monroe, and Fred McDaniel, Downsville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Member of the First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Methodist Children's Home, Ruston.
