J. B. McCarty Sr.

James B. McCarty Sr., 66, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday in an Alexandria hospital. He was a retired employe of the Alexandria streets and parks department, and was a resident of 610 Penick street, Pineville.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie McCarty; a son, James B. McCarty Jr. of Beaumont, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Pegues of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J.W. Merchant Jr. of Glenmora, and Mrs. Charles Jenkins of Elgin, Texas; a brother, Howard McCarty of Houston, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of John Kramer & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richey cemetery at Effie.

ALEXANDRIA -- Funeral services for James B. McCarty Sr., 66, of Pineville, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the John Kramer and Son Funeral Home chapel.

Burial will be in Richey Cemetery at Effie.
