James C. Allen

RAYVILLE -- Funeral services for James C. (Jim) Allen, 69, of Rayville were held at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Archibald with the Rev. J. P. Harvey officiating.

Burial was in the Linn Cemetery under the direction of Rayville Funeral Service.

Mr. Allen died Sunday in the St. Francis Hospital in Monroe following a short illness.

Survivors include his widow Mrs. Salley Allen of Rayville, three sons, Burdis Allen and Huey Allen both of Rayville; and Luther Allen of Bastrop; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Wheat of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three brothers, Andy Allen, Frank Allen and Thurman Allen all of Rayville; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Smith and Mrs. Joyce Hansen of Rayville and Mrs. Betty Alford of Walnut Grove, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallberarers [sic Pallbearers] will be Vernon Hale, Aubrey Spellers, Jesse Gwin, Stanley Williams, Truman Rushing, James Williams.
