James C. Richards

DRY PRONG -- Funeral services for James C. Richards, 76, of Dry Prong, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Dry Prong Baptist Church with the Revs. Jesse Smith and Richard DeBusk officiating.

Burial will be in Dry Prong Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Richards died around noon Sunday at his residence after a brief illness.

A native of Grant Parish, Mr. Richards was a member of the Baptist church and the Georgetown Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nancy A. Richards of Dry Prong; two sons, James C. Richards of Alexandria and Harold Richards of Springfield, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Letlow of Rayville; one brother, Lee Richards of Rosa; one sister, Mrs. J. W. Brister of Alexandria; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
