JAMES CLEO ARINDER, 83, Columbia
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 in the Hathorn Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. James Cleo Arinder, 83, of Columbia, who died Wednesday, June 27 in Hattiesburg. Interment with military honors was in the Improve Cemetery. Bro. Ed Steele officiated at the services with Janeice Baughman providing the music. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday,
June 28 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was born on March 2, 1929 to the late William Ellzey and Sally Bolen Arinder and worked for 30 years as a truck driver for the Marion County Cooperative. He was a member of the Improve Baptist Church and a Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Lou Stapleton Arinder; two brothers, Aubrey Arinder and Charles Arinder and two sisters, Barbara Randall and Lottie Kendrick.
Survivors include two sons, James V. Arinder and Mitchell Arinder (Lisa), all of Columbia; two daughters, Dianne Matheny (Steve) of Sumrall and Jennie Arinder of Columbia; three brothers, Herbert Arinder (Francis) of Columbia, Verlon Arinder (Eunice) of Shreveport, La. and Larry Arinder (Carolyn) of Columbia; two sisters, Jeanette Regan of Columbia and Thelma Hutson of Petal; four grandchildren, Grant Matheny, Lea Ellen Wright, Will Arinder and Chloe Arinder; five great grandchildren, Christian Wright, Carter Wright, Claudia Wright, Haeven Matheny and Haleigh Matheny and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Hathorn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
