James Clyde Biggs

Services for James Clyde Biggs, age 91, of Kelly, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Richard Poss officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

Mr. Biggs was born on Sept. 8, 1911, to the union of James Cary and Nancy McDaniel Biggs and died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.

He was a retired service manager for Chevrolet dealerships in our area. He was a member of the Kelly Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge #164 in Columbia where he served as a part master.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Naomi McKeithen Biggs, and his sisters, Myrth Cromwell and Myrtle Laffoon.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Biggs of Kelly his son, Ronnie Biggs of Kelly, his daughter, Joan Sykes of Tioga his stepsons, Tim Ellis of Hebert and Bobby Ellis of New Iberia, his stepdaughters, Cheryl Dilley of Hebert and Cynthia Cuarry of Sacramento, Calif., his brother, Wayne Biggs of Columbia, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Cummings, John Holliday, Billy Biggs, Mike Pollard, Randy Hatten, Jim Sowle and Ed Todd.
