James Collier Taylor
James C. Taylor, 86, of Bay City passed away Monday, January 4, 2010. He was born November 12, 1923 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Elmer Lamar & Maude Gates Taylor. James served his country during WWII as a member of the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife: Gloria Colleen Fordham Taylor of Bay City; 2 sons: Michael James & Mary Taylor of Bay City and Stephen Lee & Jane Taylor of Sugar Land; sister: Mildred Taylor Mayes of Beaumont; 5 grandchildren: Ann & Brett Acuff, Cheryl & John Riggs, Kelley & Michael Arnold, Melissa Taylor and Matthew Taylor; and 2 great grandchildren: Aidan and Genevieve Arnold. James was preceded in death by his parents and son Donald Edward Taylor in 1981.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be: Michael Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Brett Acuff, John Riggs, and Michael Arnold.
