McCARTY

GERMANTON, NC -- Mr. James Daniel McCarty, 52, of Germanton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Stokes-Reynolds Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1950, in Ferriday, La., to Gilda and Marable Daniel McCarty. Mr. McCarty attended the King Christian Center, and was employed with Luwua Bahnson for many years.

Surviving are his wife of the home, Mrs. Helen Thomas McCarty; his mother, Gilda McCarty; four children, Jessica McCarty, Michelle Jarvis, Bryan McCarty and Kimberly Thomas; three grandchildren, Amber McCarty, Zachary McCarty and Seth Jarvis; and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Lane officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
