SIKES (Special) -- Funeral services for James David Simons, 72, of Sikes, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chatham Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Curry officiating.

Burial will be in Chatham cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mr. SImons died Sunday at Veterans Hospital at Alexandria after a long illness.

Survivors include his widow; a son, M. J. Simons, Houston, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. T. J. McHaffey [sic Mahaffey], Mrs. Louis Beard, Houston; Mrs. G. C. Starens [sic Starnes], Sikes; three sisters, Mrs. Ed Starnes, Winnfield; Mrs. Katy Allen, West Monroe; Mrs. Joe McElory, Monroe; and eight grandchildren.

Members of Midway Masonic Lodge will be pallbearers.
