James E. “Jimmy” Lane, 90, died Saturday, September 4, 2004, at his home. Visitation is after 1:30 p.m. today at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Tuesday in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. James E. “Jimmy” Lane was a native of Harrisburg, Arkansas, and had been a longtime resident of Jackson, before moving to Clinton last year. He was the owner of Lane's Hardware, which was located in Jackson, for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish; he also enjoyed working in his garden.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Yvonne Lane of Clinton; son, James Allen Lane and wife, Kim of Columbus, Ga.; daughters, Charlotte L. Bickerstaff and husband, David of Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Geraldine Joyner of Terry; brother, Wilson Lane of Columbus, Ga.; sister, Ruby Alexander of Clinton; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
