James Ervin Terrell
James Erwin Terrell 67 of McComb passed away July 4, 2014 at his residence.
Visitation will be Sunday evening at Jones Funeral Home from 5 until 8 PM and continues Monday at Central Baptist Church from 9 am until services there at 11. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy and Noah Hester, Aaron Dellucci, Jake Dykes, Grayson Terrell, Jimmy Vielee and Ron Kraft.
Mr. Terrell was born on May 30, 1947 to the late James Samuel Terrell and Sally Reynolds Terrell.
He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant for the United States Air Force. He served 13 months in the Vietnam War. He also retired from Bell South Telephone Co. after 27 years. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. He loved to fish and hunt. He also loved to drink coffee with many of his retired friends. Mr. Terrell was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Kyrstin Hester.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years Peggy Thornton Terrell of McComb; one son Ed Terrell and his wife Mandi of Liberty; two daughters Theresa T. Dykes of McComb, Melisah Hester and her husband Jeremy of Hamilton, MS; one brother George Ashley Terrell and his wife Madolyn of Liberty; and six grandchildren Grayson and Skylar Terrell; Jake and Hayley Dykes; Noah and Brooke Hester.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
