James Edward Ainsworth
March 11, 1936 - December 10, 2009

James Edward Ainsworth, 73, of Enterprise, La, passed from this life on December 10, 2009, at the LaSalle General Hospital. James was born on March 11, 1936, to the union of James Elbert and Willie Mae Ainsworth. He was a retired river boat captain and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

Services will be held at 2PM, on Saturday, December 12,2009 at The New Ouachita Baptist Church, in Enterprise, La., with Rev. Emile Bordelon and Rev. Perry Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Roesfield Cemetery under the direction of Youngs Funeral Home in Jonesville, La.

He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Su[r]vivors include his loving wife of 53 1/2 years, Emma Octavia Richey Ainsworth, One Daughter, Emma Lynette Hebert and husband Gary of Sicily Island, La. 4 sons: Billy Wayne and wife Sandra of Manifest, La. Edward Levell and wife Brenda, James Cleveland and wife Debbie, Jeffery David and wife Teresa, all of Enterprise,La. 10 Grandchildren: Jamey Ainsworth, Andy Ainsworth, Carrie Koster, Devon Smith, Jesse Ainsworth, Michael Ainsworth, Derek Ainsworth, Connor Ainsworth, Adam Ainsworth and Kayla Ainsworth, 5 Great-grandchildren: Alston and Breanna Townsend, Ava Lee Koster, Peyton Ainsworth, and Olivia Ainsworth, 3 Brothers: Ralph, David and Peewee Ainsworth, 6 Sisters: Martha Alexander, Carolyn Humble, Shirley Mitchell, Linda Tarver, Francis McGuffee and Liz Prudhomme.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the grand daughters and great-granddaughters.

The Family request memorials be made to St. Jude.
