James Edward ``Ed'' McCarty

James ``Ed'' Edward McCarty, 90, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Rusk, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Doris M. McCarty; daughter, Janet McCarty Bierbower; son, Robert T. McCarty and wife, Linda; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
